Sooooo, here I am again, jobless and incredibly bored.
I've spent my days walking Barlow, watching "Everybody Loves Raymond" and filling out job applications.
Here's the tally of places applied so far. . . . Burger King, McDonald's (which I told myself I'd NEVER work at...ha), Wal Mart, Macy's, Bath and Body Works, Taco Bell, Wendys (ew ew ew), Victoria's Secret, Spencer's and Game Stop. . . 10 places.
Have I gotten a single callback?!

This economy is going to be the death of me.
Jess, that's only ten! In all the time you've been out of work, you should be doing that in a day! Remember how fast you got hired on somewhere when we made you fill out- what was it - 10 a week or something like that? Yes, that was a different time, but you should get into your mind that while you have no job, looking for a job is your job! I love you, and the offer still stands!!! Love you!
ReplyDeleteMomma, it's a college town. I can't find a job as easily as I could then. Plus the economy. Plus, I'm a bit of a slacker. And you only had me fill out 5 apps a week. Sheesh. . . lol. Thank you for the offer, but no thanks. :) Love you too!
ReplyDeleteOK Missy. You just stated your problem by admitting you are a bit of a slacker for the whole blog world to see. So, if we only had you do 5 a week, then do 5 a week. You have bills to pay and need food to eat. So you best get off yer bootie and start turning in 5 a week. Or, go beyond you slacker-ness and actually do 10!!! See what happens. Love you.

I forgot to put Johnny Carino's on the list of places applied. So 11. There aren't really that many places to actually apply here that are hiring. Applying at a place that isn't hiring wont do me any good. Now that it's near Thanksgiving and Christmas, more places will be hiring so I'll hopefully find something. . . . . Rachel, your taunting does nothing for me. Muahahaha.
